Although Outlook is a well-developed product and nicely integrated with Microsoft Office®, the fields in Outlook are too limited to serve as a Client Relationship Management (a CRM system) for a financial advisor. Besides demographic information, good financial advising requires the advisor to document the client’s life circumstances. For example, does the client have credit card debt? Is the client saving enough for a comfortable retirement? Has the client completed a full suite of estate planning documents?
Many clients come in to learn more about their future cash flows during retirement and just how much longer they have to work. Retirement questions invariably lead to required minimum distribution (RMD) calculations. Outlook cannot perform RMD calculations. ProTracker Advantage® has an extensive RMD calculator and tracking tool to support the advisor with answers to client questions.
